An American classic
The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is one of the most famous American classics. The model emerged from the collaboration between Pontiac and General Motors and was intended to compete with the established Ford Mustang. The newly introduced car from 1967, which is based on the Chevrolet Camaro has not yet reached its destination. The optical changes in 1977 - including rectangular double headlamps in the radiator grille - changed the look a lot. In particular, the Trans Am version with V8 engine became famous through numerous film appearances. Especially the black paint with the golden "Firebird" on the bonnet is known by all car fans. Numerous special editions and limited editions make this sports car a sought-after dream car to this day.

The Firebird not only cuts a fine figure in films and on the streets - it is also a highlight on the Carrera EVOLUTION race track. In its typical paint finish, the slot car on a scale of 1:32 is ready to show its opponents its rear lights and nothing more. Thanks to the official GM license every detail of the 1977 Firebird Trans Am can be found on the slot car. With the digital decoder (26732) it is also possible to drive on the DIGITAL 132 race tracks.
