The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is an American long-range four-engine bomber developed by the Boeing Airplane Company in the United States. It is one of the most famous bombers used by the Allies in World War II. Up to several hundred such machines took part in many actions at the same time and created powerful so-called bomb carpets over these operational areas. She was heavily armed with shipboard guns, earning her the nickname "Flying Fortress".
The Flying Fortress is the largest brick model of an aircraft released by COBI to date. It has moving elements such as wheels, wing elements, guns and propellers. Under the deck there is an opening gap from which the bent bombs, attached to them, fall. The aircraft is provided with high-quality prints that will not wear off even with intensive playing. There are no stickers at all in this set. Detailed and high-quality prints reflect the aircrafts livery. There is a special print of the "Cute from Memphis" mascot on the aircraft cockpit.
Included with the plane is a special pilot figure with a detailed uniform. The uniform cap has a printed emblem and a brown shield. Depicted on the uniform is a print with an emblem. The pilots distinctive head was used for the first time in this set. The pilot is the perfect addition to this B17 Flying Fortress "Cute from Memphis" set and is a great treat for collectors of such models.
