Patruljetorpedobåden PT-109Kom i drift i 1942 i Stillehavet. Den 2. august 1943 ramponerede den japanske destroyer Amagiri PT-109, hvilket fik patruljebåden til at synke. I en krisesituation lykkedes det for enhedens chef og kommende amerikanske præsident John F. Kennedy at redde hele besætningen. The TORPEDO BOAT pt-109 patrol entered service in 1942 in the Pacific. On August 2, 1943, the Japanese destroyer Amagiri rammed the PT-109, causing the patrol boat to sink.
